Free claimed profile

Homeowners are already reading about you. Make sure they read the page you'd write.

Before a homeowner signs, they look up the license. Hiring guides tell them to, and AI search points them to FloridaContractorCheck, where the public record of your license and permits already sits. Claiming that page is free and takes a few minutes, and it puts you in charge of it: your logo, your description, your service areas, reviews you answer, plus a view of your own record that most contractors have never seen in one place, and a heads-up if a permit ever shows up under your number so you can check it.

A free claimed profile on FloridaContractorIntel gives a licensed Florida contractor their own permit record from county and city filings, their rank by trade and county, the subcontractors on their jobs and any compliance problem among them, License Watch alerts for permits filed under their license number, customer reviews they can answer, and a verified listing with logo, service areas and website link. No card, no trial.

From the record to a signed job

How a free profile becomes a sale

  1. A homeowner looks you up on FloridaContractorCheck before signing. Hiring guides tell them to verify the license, and when they ask Google or an AI assistant how, we are the answer they land on. Unclaimed, your page is a license number and a status line. Claimed, it is your logo, your verified badge, your permit history and answered reviews, with your phone and a message button on the paid plans. They call you, not the next name down.

  2. License Watch emails you that a permit showed up under your number in a county you don't work. One call to the building department clears it up while it is still a paperwork question.

  3. Your own record shows a sub on your jobs with a lapsed license. You swap him before the next inspection, and the job that would have failed closes on time.

Free is defense and reputation. It gets you found and keeps your license clean. The paid plans go find the work.

Your own record, read for you

The permits filed under your license, by month, by jurisdiction, with the values the county published. Your rank among the companies in your trade and county. The subs named on your jobs, and a flag if one of them has a license or insurance problem you'd want to know about before the next job. This is the view a homeowner sees when they look you up. You should see it first.

A permit under your number in a county you don't work is worth a five-minute phone call. Better to know.

License Watch

Permits occasionally get filed under the wrong license number. It happens with busy permit runners, typos at the counter, or a clerk picking the wrong name from a list. License Watch sends you an email when a new permit on record shows your number, so you can see it and, if it isn't yours, sort it out with the building department on your own terms. Nothing more than a heads-up, and it comes from the public record as the jurisdictions post it.

The listing itself

Verified badge, your logo, a description you wrote, service areas, and a link for your website. Customer reviews come to you by email and you answer them in public. Flag a review that smells wrong and we look at it. Homeowners searching your name on FloridaContractorCheck land on the claimed version, not the bare one.

License Watch emails you when a new permit on record shows your license number.

Questions contractors ask

What do I need to claim it?

Your license number and an email we can verify, ideally one at the domain on your DBPR record. If the DBPR has an old email for you, there's a manual review path. It takes a day, not a week.

Is free really free?

Yes. No card, no trial that converts. The paid plans are upgrades from inside the portal when you want them, and the portal says plainly which pages need which plan.

What if I'd rather not have a page at all?

The license and permit record are public, so the lookup shows them the same way the DBPR site does. Claiming doesn't add you to anything; it lets you decide what the page says about your business, which contact details show, and who answers the reviews. We'd rather you had that control than not.

Why would I want reviews on a permit site?

Because homeowners look you up here before they call. A claimed profile with answered reviews reads very differently from a bare license number.

Does claiming change what homeowners see on FloridaContractorCheck?

Yes. The claimed version of your page carries your verified badge, logo, description, service areas and website link, and your answers under the reviews. The license and permit record underneath stays the public record, as the DBPR and the counties publish it.
