How it works

  1. Step 1

    Claim your license

Your license number, your name, an email and a phone. About two minutes.

  2. Step 2

    Confirm your email

If that email is the one on your DBPR record, your profile goes live when you click the link. If not, a person checks the claim, usually within one business day.

  3. Step 3

    Start your plan

Log in and start the plan from Billing. Checkout runs on Stripe. Growth checks your ZIP is open before you pay.

Claim your license

Step 1 for Growth. You start the plan from Billing once the license is verified.

30,900,000+ Florida permits on record from 289 county and city permit offices, matched to 138,000+ Florida licenses. Counts refreshed Nov 3, 2026.

Who we are

FloridaContractorIntel is operated by Contract Advantage LLC. It's the contractor side of FloridaContractorCheck, the Florida license lookup homeowners use.

Support is by email and here on the site. We don't do phone support. Write to [email protected].

Your confirmation email comes from [email protected].

Where the data comes from

Florida county and municipal building permit records, matched to the Florida DBPR license file. Some jurisdictions publish everything, some publish a little, and a few publish nothing we can read, so every count here is a floor, never a total.

Canceling

Cancel any time from Billing. The plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, then you're on the free plan. Payments aren't refunded, and a Growth ZIP is released when the plan ends.

Questions contractors ask

Do I pay before I claim my license?

No. Every plan starts with the free claim. Once your license is verified, you log in and start Market Intel or Growth from Billing. Checkout runs on Stripe.

How long does the claim take?

The form takes about two minutes. If the email you use is the one on your DBPR record, the profile goes live when you confirm it. Otherwise a person checks it, usually within one business day.

What is the difference between Market Intel and Growth?

Market Intel shows you the market: the permits on record around you, your rank, and the GCs and subs behind them. Growth hands you the work: one ZIP locked to you for your trade, the addresses in it that are due, and GC jobs where your trade is still open. Growth includes everything in Market Intel.

What if someone already has my ZIP?

Growth is one ZIP, one trade, one contractor. Checkout checks the ZIP before you pay. If someone in your trade holds it, you can join its waitlist, pick another ZIP, or start on Market Intel, which has no territory.

Can I cancel?

Any time, from Billing. The plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, then your account moves to the free plan. Payments aren't refunded.

Where does the data come from?

Florida county and municipal building permit records, matched to the Florida DBPR license file. Coverage is broad and it is not complete, so every count is a floor for the jurisdictions we read.
